Wear What You Eat – Making Masks From The Fridge

No one does it better than Mother Nature, and skin care is no exception to that rule. Get together with some friends and have fun whipping up these quick and easy recipes for facial masks that require ingredients you probably already have in your refrigerator.

For normal skin , this peach and oatmeal mask loaded with alpha-hydroxy acids that help soften wrinkles, reduce blemishes and unclog pores is just for you:

Cook one medium peach until soft, then mash. Add one tablespoon honey and enough oatmeal to thicken the mask. Apply evenly to skin and wait ten minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

For normal to oily skin , try this blend of carrots and honey:

Cook until soft, then mash 2-3 large carrots. Mix with 4 tablespoons honey. Gently apply the mask to your skin and wait ten to twelve minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

For oily skin , strawberries and honey will help reduce excess oil and refresh enlarged pores:

Mash nine strawberries into a pulp. Add three tablespoons honey. Mix well, but don’t over do it or your mask will be runny. Apply to entire face and wait three to five minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

If your skin is oily and acne prone , let this apple and honey mask spruce up your natural glow and texture:

Core and grate one medium sized apple. Blend with three to four tablespoons honey. Smooth over entire face and relax for eight to ten minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

If your skin is normal to dry and prone to bouts of acne , let this aromatic mask work to remove toxins and oils that reduce blemishes and tighten pores:

Boil five bay leaves in one cup distilled water and allow to cool. Strain the leaves, but keep the liquid. Slowly add the bay liquid to four tablespoons French clay. Mix until it is medium thick. Dab and blend onto skin and allow mask to dry for up to twenty minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

For dry skin , your mask of bananas and honey will restore vitality to over-stressed skin:

Lightly mash two medium bananas. Don’t over mash or mask will be runny. Add two tablespoons honey and lightly blend. Apply to skin and wait ten minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.

Want to get crazy? Try this recipe for a banana bread mask that will moisturize, soothe, soften and cleanse your skin along with the added bonus of a whole wheat flower antioxidant:

Mix well ½ very ripe mashed banana, a pinch of nutmeg, two tablespoons ground oats (put rolled oats through a clean coffee grinder or blender until it is a fine powder.) Add two tablespoons whole wheat flour. Blend in milk or cream until mask is a smooth paste. Apply to a clean face and enjoy for five to ten minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry.

Because there are no preservatives in these recipes, they should be used immediately and then discarded.

Tame Upset Skin the Right Way

Perhaps one of the worst things about having an upset complexion is that you not only feel it, it’s also visible to the rest of the world. Anytime you hear the word “upset” when it comes to skincare, chances are other words like “inflamed”, “splotchy” and “redness” will soon follow. Trying to deal with an upset complexion is not only a hassle, it’s very common for many people. However, there are ways you can quickly treat these kinds of issues so you can move on with your life.

Each person’s complexion is different and depending on their skin type, chances are the skincare approach to dealing with upset skin may vary. However, there are some instances where there is a universal treatment to provide a solution. By now you know that your skin not only tends to react to the outside elements you expose it to but the way your body is feeling as well. Do you tend to experience small red splotches on your complexion seemingly out of nowhere? Chances are the rash is there for a reason. Stress and anxiety are two culprits that are mainly responsible for such occurrences. If you find that you suffer from this issue often, the first step is to calm down. Do what it takes to bring your stress or anxiety level to a minimum. Only by doing this will your skin start to behave and go back to normal. For an even quicker fix, you can also apply an herbal cream that is designed to soothe upset skin. After dabbing on the cream, unwind with a good book, watch a movie or a get a massage to get your complexion back to normal (believe it or not, having sex is also a great way to relieve tension, stress and anxiety for a clearer complexion!).

Another common way skin becomes upset is due to the presence of breakouts. This is an especially common experience if you have acne prone skin. Pimples tend to come with a bit of redness around the area, which can make for an unsightly appearance. One of the best treatments for bringing down the swelling of acne prone skin is to apply an OTC hydrocortisone cream. When using skincare products make sure to choose those that contain ingredients like chamomile, mint or aloe vera. These ingredients not only pamper your skin naturally but help to reduce the appearance of breakouts and eliminate redness.

Does your face tend to get really dry, flaky and red? This is obviously due to your skin not receiving enough moisture or it may be your complexion’s way of reacting to exposure to extremely hot temperatures. Sometimes it will take more than just moisturizer to get your upset skin back up to par. Make it a point to use lukewarm water when washing your face and apply your facial moisturizer while your face is still damp. This provides extra moisture that stays sealed in. When looking for skincare products, choose items that contain ceramides, which work to rebuild the loss of your skin’s natural oils.

How to Shop for Skincare Products for Your Kids

Being a parent means worrying about pretty much everything when it comes to your child or children. From what they eat to where they go and who they play with, the list of worry for a parent is seemingly endless. Skincare can be yet another area where your concerns as a parent play a huge role. Each day you have to make decisions based on your child’s wellbeing. Having knowledge about how to shop for skincare products for your children, however, will remove at least one stressful factor from your list.

As a new parent or a well seasoned vet, skincare products may be the last thing on your mind when it comes to your children. Maybe the concept of skincare where your children are concerned is no more than getting them to take a bath, putting on lotion and then getting them to bed. However, maintaining the health of your child/children’s skin is very important. From infants to toddlers and pre-teens, skincare should be a vital part of their daily routine. Healthy skin is happy skin so keep the following tips in mind while shopping for the right items for your kids.

It goes without saying that young children, especially babies, have very sensitive skin. Due to the wide selection of items available on store shelves, it can be downright confusing as to which formulas, ingredients and products would be best for your little ones. Perhaps one of the best tips to keep in mind is to use common sense. For example, if you have a newborn, you’ll only want to use skincare items that are formulated for newborns. Read the labels and make sure the products you reach for are made for your child’s age range. Another helpful tip is to avoid going overboard - keep it simple! While adults may invest tons of money on a score of items to keep their complexions on point, babies and children don’t need as much. Not only does this make things more convenient for you, it also helps you save money. For babies the most you’ll need in terms of skincare will be baby wash, shampoo and lotion. Depending on your baby’s skin type, you may have to shop accordingly for the appropriate moisturizing lotion. If you are in doubt, consult your pediatrician, who can make suggestions.

When it comes to ingredients, you can’t go wrong with all natural. Many skincare lines now offer products that contain natural ingredients while being formulated for young skin. Because sun damage is always a threat for babies and young children, you’ll also want to make sure you’ve got quality sunscreen made for kids. If you can find a body lotion that contains SPF that is a plus.

Although you may want your baby or children to smell good, avoid skincare items that are heavily scented. This is usually a sign that the ingredients contained will be too harsh on your child’s skin, which could result in dryness or a negative skin reaction.

Cool Off Your Rosacea this Winter

Rosacea is a skin condition that can turn into a huge nuisance for those that suffer from it. Characterized by the appearance of red splotches on the face and swelling, this skin issue often targets adult women. There currently is no explanation for what causes roascea but there are ways to treat and reduce the symptoms. When it comes to the weather, most sufferers tend to dread the hot summer months but what they may not know is that the winter temperatures can also pose as a threat to their complexions.

The association between hot weather and rosacea is fairly simple. Extreme heat can easily cause a person’s complexion to become stressed, which typically results in the blood vessels becoming enlarged, producing the flushed appearance and inflammation. When it comes to cold weather, however, most rosacea sufferers may think the cooler temperatures would be ideal for keeping their complexions in better condition. But in many cases that could not be farther from the truth.

Because complexions with rosacea do not have properly functioning barriers to protect the skin from foreign substances while keeping moisture intact, this leaves it vulnerable to any type of extreme temperature change - cold weather included. In the winter, a person with rosacea will experience their complexion drying out much easier due to loss of moisture, resulting in higher sensitivity to anything that is put on it, including skincare products. The appearance of tiny cracks is also a common symptom of this skin condition, which can cause discomfort when treating the area.

So what is a person with rosacea to do when the weather starts to get colder? Luckily, there are a couple of solutions you can try in order to keep your skin happy this winter. The first is to minimize your exposure from extreme cold to extreme heat. This includes going from being outdoors in cold temperatures to being indoors with the heater blasting. The back and forth in temperature is the fastest way to aggravate your skin. When this can’t be prevented, make sure you use a scarf or other type of winter clothing that will protect your complexion while out in the elements. To reinforce your skin’s health, use sunscreen - even during the winter. If your face tends to get very dry during the winter, purchase a humidifier for your home. On those cold nights your humidifier should be combined with your heater so that you not only stay warm but are pampering your skin at the same time. A heater alone can strip moisture from your face, further aggravating your rosacea.

Stress also plays a crucial element in how your complexion appears so do your best to keep your stress levels down during the winter. It’s easier said than done, but once you start to see the change in your skin for the better, you’ll be even more motivated to do right by your complexion. In terms of skincare products, invest in moisturizers that use natural ingredients for improving hydration and reinforcing your complexion’s protective barrier. Look for skincare products with gentle ingredients that are formulated for sensitive skin types. You may also want to increase your intake of certain fats, such as omega-3 fatty acids, which help maintain and replenish your skin’s oil levels.

Purify Your Life by Taking the Toxins Out

In the effort to improve our lives, sometimes we take measures that are overboard and even unnecessary. Sometimes the real answer lies in the little things and keeping our lives simple. This can be applied to just about any area, including skincare, anti aging and even nutrition and exercise. Why not make things easier on yourself by working on the little things that don’t take that much effort? When it comes to purifying our lives and removing toxins from our bodies and even the environment, the process doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

The concept of detoxification has taken on a whole new meaning, causing people to undergo procedures such as fasting, drinking special concoctions to cleanse their systems and even taking pills and powders that promise to remove all the impurities from their bodies and skin. However, such extreme measures may not be necessary if you know how to detoxify your life on a daily basis. With each small milestone you’ll be able to purify yourself from head to toe.

If you want to keep your complexion vibrant, healthy and free of toxins, you don’t necessarily need to spend a ton of money on spa treatments. A clay mask is all you’ll need. This skincare product can be purchased at affordable prices at any store, online or at your favorite specialty skincare store. There are different types of clay mask products to choose from, all formulated to cater to every skin type. For example, if you have oily skin, choose a clay mask that is green or red, which will absorb the excess oil and set your complexion back to normal. This product can be used on a weekly basis to maintain a glowing complexion.

Another way to purify your skin and keep it at its best is to choose skincare products that do not list parabens on the ingredient label. This is especially important when it comes to body lotions. Studies show that exposing your skin to high levels of parabens can negatively affect the body’s endocrine system. When in doubt, opt for products that contain organic ingredients and formulas.

Want to make sure the air that you breathe at home is free of toxins? There are two ways you can go about achieving this. The first step is to purchase paint that does not contain volatile organic compounds, also known as VOCs. Volatile organic compounds are automatically released into the air, polluting it with the fumes that we all have smelled before when opening a new can of paint. Luckily, there are more and more paint products being made without VOCs that are much safer for use inside the home. Paints that are free of VOCs don’t even require you to air out the room after painting it. The second step you can take to purify your home is by decorating your living space with lively house plants. It is a known fact that plants and trees absorb carbon dioxide, which is one of the most harmful toxins out there, and produce fresh oxygen. Just a few small potted plants in your windows and in choice areas of a room can bring in all the fresh air you need.

Age Spot Removal

You’re ready to leave for a party, and right before you leave you take a good look at your face. What do you see? A face that’s perfect, except for a few brown spots. You’re in a state of shock. What are these spots? Where did they come from? These spots are popularly known as ‘Age Spots’, they are also known as freckles, liver spots, sun spots or brown spots. The spots can vary from a light brown or brown to a black color. Age spots usually appear on the skins of old people, but in reality have nothing to do with the age of a person. It was also believed that age spots appear on the skin because of the problem in the liver; that is nothing but a baseless assumption. Age spots show up because of long hours of exposure to the rays of the sun. This exposure to the sun damages melanocytes, pigment cells on the surface layer of the skin. The pigment from the damaged cells is transferred to other skin cells. Age spots are the results of this transfer. Are you ‘disgusted’ with your age spots? Make a move; read on how to get rid of them.
How To Remove Age Spots
  • Since age spots are caused by exposure to the sun, the best way to deal with these spots is to use a sunscreen with a high-SPF level. The SPF level determines how long you can stand in the sun without really getting ‘toasted’. A good sunscreen lotion protects against both UVB and UVA rays. When you’re out in the sun for long hours, it’s best to apply your sunscreen at frequent intervals and wash it off when you are back home.
  • Using an exfoliating facial scrub once a week can help you battle against age or sun spots. The scrub supplements skin cell regeneration which is nothing but the replacement of cells that have been damaged by the sun. It is this quick replacement of damaged cells with new cells that prevents the occurrence of age spots.
  • A microdermabrasion treatment is a safe and reliable option. It does not require you to use harsh bleaching creams to get rid of your age spots. Here, an expert sprays your skin with microcrystals that removes the outermost layer of dry and dead skin cells. This removal leads to the revelation of younger and smooth looking skin. Microdermabrasion also adds to the production of a new underlying layer of skin cells that have higher levels of elastin and collagen. The production of the new cells can help complement the look of your skin.
  • Dermabrasion is yet another option that can help you get rid of your age spots. However, it is an extremely intensive procedure and is used to eradicate deep facial lines, blemishes, scars and extreme damages caused by the sun.
  • Laser therapy! Think about it, it works, but may be extremely painful. Laser rays target the pigments in your age spots and help in eliminating them. The spots become lighter because the pigment is absorbed by the body’s immune system. Laser therapy can permanently rid you of your age spots, but you may require more than a few sessions to achieve the same.++

Daily Face Care

Many people take their skin for granted. The skin has several basic needs. First, it needs to be kept as clean as possible. Second, the skin needs to be protected from sunlight and other environmental insults. The skin of the face needs even more attention than the rest of the body because the face has more oil glands, especially the central forehead, eye areas, nose and chin. One needs to perform a brief morning regimen for the facial skin and a longer regimen before going to bed. Once you have your skin care regimen down, it will only take five to ten minutes a day.

Morning Facial Care:

  • In the morning you should clean your face with luke-warm water and a creamy cleanser or purifying gel wash. Avoid bar soap because this strips the natural moisturizing factors from the skin, leaving it feeling very tight and dry. Do not rub the skin dry. Instead, blot it gently with a towel. Your morning facial care can be done in the shower or at the sink.
  • Next, you should tone the skin on the face. Toning the skin helps remove any residual cleanser or make-up that may have been left behind. A toner also helps restore the natural pH level of the skin, leaves your skin clean, clear and ready to be hydrated.
  • Next, apply a moisturizer or day cream such as Xtend-Life Age-Defense Day Cream. This should be specialized to your skin type. A moisturizer leaves the skin feeling softer and smoother. It also helps smooth away fine lines and dryness. A sunscreen can be applied on top of the moisturizer.
  • Next, apply your make-up (if you choose to wear make-up). Your foundation should match your skin tone. Never use a darker foundation than your skin tone; it should look natural.

Evening Facial Care:Exuviance Toner

  • The evening starts like the morning. First, you should clean your face with luke-warm water and a creamy cleanser or purifying gel wash. These skin cleansers will remove your make-up at the same time you wash your face.
  • A toner should then be applied. Any trace of make-up remaining will be removed (the easiest way of applying a toner is to put it on a cotton pad).
  • Now, while your face is still wet, you should exfoliate. Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells, which cause the face to look dull. The build up of dead cells can also contribute to blockage of the pores causing acne. Also this build up of dead cells will not let the products you are using penetrate the skin and work to their full capacity. Exfoliating will brighten the skin and give it a more healthy glow. Massage gently and rinse well. This can be done every night or 1-2 times a week all depending on the type of exfoliant.
  • Finally, apply a moisturizer such as such as Xtend-Life Restorative Night Cream to your face, which is specified for your skin type. A firming eye cream should also be used around the eye area.

Facial Care Tips:

  • Never go to bed with your make-up on. Make-up that is left on overnight clogs the pores and prevents the skin cells from shedding, which may cause blemishes and/or blackheads. The skin needs to breathe over night.
  • Waterproof make-up is most easily removed with a gel cleanser.
  • The most important thing that you can do for your facial skin is to avoid sunlight or use liberal amounts of sunscreen. Sunlight causes the skin to age and causes skin cancer which is the most common malignancy in humans. The most common location for these tumors is the face. If you do not believe that the sun ages your skin, then look at the skin under your upper arm and compare it to the skin on your face and the back of the hands.
  • Alpha hydroxy acid applied daily will help prevent acne out breaks if you have acne prone skin.
  • If you have acne and the above measures do not help, see your dermatologist. There are many prescription treatments for acne.

Frugal Beauty

You don't have to spend big bucks to get beauty treatments commercially. A little care at home can help you to attain that glamorous finished look at home, quite frugally. For a hydrating treatment for your hands while doing your dishes in the kitchen, cover your hands with a thick layer of lotion and wear latex cleaning gloves. The warm dishwater helps you to get the deep lotion treatment while gloves provide insulation of heat. Repeat it once or twice per week to get beautiful soft hands. Exfoliation to remove dead skin from your body and face can be done with a lot of things available in our kitchens. Pamper yourself with ground almond or be more economical by using cornmeal or a mix of grapefruit and salt or vinegar with some lemon juice in it.

Milk bath strewn with rose petals worked for Cleopatra so there seems to be no reason that it will not do the same for you. Mix half cup of milk powder with your bath water and see the difference. To keep your face naturally beautiful and free of any common skin problems, splash your face with warm water and massage it with a tablespoon of honey, which is antibacterial in nature, once or twice per week. Rinse your face well with warm water. You can also use plain yogurt instead of honey, which works as an exfoliant and its lactic acid dissolves dead skin cells. Prepare a mixture of ½ cup olive oil, ¼ cup vinegar and ¼ cup water to substitute your night cream. Oliver oil serves as a moisturizer and revitalizes skin while vinegar takes care of bacteria, dead skin cells and skin discolorations.

Olive oil is also an effective cleansing cream for dry skin, softens the skin and gets absorbed better than baby oil. Do not waste any leftover olive oil or that has been dripped over. Use your fingers to wipe it off and rub it on your elbows. Tone your skin using witch hazel that you can buy for pennies. It can work as an effective aftershave for your husband too! The best and most inexpensive way to keep your skin healthy and glowing is to drink several glasses of water a day as it helps your body to flush away any impurities.

Instead of freaking over any freckles or aging signs that you can spot over your face and rushing off to costly beauty clinics, try fading them away with lemon juice instead. For scrubbing, rub olive oil over your body after the bath and then scrub sugar on the body until it melts. Then wash it away with water. It is quite effective for face and hands too. Look younger by preparing a mixture with equal parts of onion juice and vinegar and rubbing it over any aging signs daily. However, it takes few weeks to achieve the desired results.

For filling up dry and cracked calluses on your hand and feet, use olive oil mixed with melted beeswax. Cover them up with cotton gloves or socks respectively. Spices and essential oils added to your bath water can make you fragrant for a long time. Frugal hair care ideas include adding a two spoonfuls of baking soda in your shampoo once a week to remove styling product build-ups and using mayonnaise or raw eggs as a hair conditioner. To bleach your hair, you can use lemon juice while olive oil works as an effective hair conditioner and gets rid of the frizz. A quarter cup of vinegar mixed with three quarters of a cup of warm water is a great rinser and makes your hair soft and shiny. We have even found out that a daily soak in burdock tea will stop hair loss!

Essential Oils

Essential oils have been part of cosmetics for men and ladies alike for thousands of years. Their exotic aromas were enough to win them favors amongst the humankind and when it was revealed that the aromas make a significant difference to the status of our health, the fact was just an added bonus. Aromatherapy is a well-developed science that uses aromatic essential oils to heal and rejuvenate one's physical and emotional health and enhance one's beauty that is constantly gaining popularity day by day. Essential oils are extracts from different parts of the plants such as herbs, flowers, leaves, resin, bark, fruit rinds and roots and are highly concentrated, volatile oils.

The extracts usually come out to be 0.01 to 10 percent of the raw material and are very therapeutic in nature. They are either inhaled directly or are applied to the skin after being diluted with mostly pure-blend oils. Children, novices and people with sensitive skin must take the precaution of using diluted essential oils only. Aromatherapy works on the basis that the lymbic system of the brain channels the effects of the oils to balance the body's systems and stimulated particular chemicals and emotions in us. Massage helps the skin to absorb essential oils, which can then reach internal organs more effectively through our circulatory system.

Some of the most popular essential oils are sweet almond oil, which is considered an all-purpose oil; apricot kernel oil helpful in massage blends; avocado, olive, sesame and macadamia nut oil, which must be used very carefully; borage, kukui, rose hip and evening primrose oil, which excellent in treating many skin conditions but is quite expensive; cocoa butter, which is suitable for use in lotions and creams; grapeseed oil, which is solvent extracted; hazelnut, good for oily skin; jojoba oil or wax, which has a very long shelf-life; peanut oil, which is good for massage blends and arthritis; pecan oil; shea butter suitable for use in lotions and creams and unrefined sunflower oil.

Beach Beauty

Too much exposure to the sun on beach may cause under-eye skin crinkles, blackheads and acne on nose, cold lip sores, red and scaly temples and broken blood vessels. To avoid these unwanted signs of old age, be sure to use moisturizers and sunscreens or sun blocks that suit your skin type and never forget to wear UV-protected sunglasses and hat to a beach. Today other beauty products with SPF are also available in the market such as concealers and lipsticks. You can use waterproof and water-resistant eyeliners, mascaras and bronzers to look like a glamorous mermaid too. Contrary to the popular belief, tanning is not safe for skin and may cause skin burning, wrinkles and skin cancer.

One must remember that sun can damage the skin within a few minutes and can harm the skin on apparently cloudy days. The sun can damage the skin even more at higher altitudes and on an average at every 1,000-foot height can damage the skin by 4 % more. You can calculate how frequently to apply your sunscreen on the beach by multiplying its SPF number (which determines the protection against burning by UVB rays) with 20 (which incidentally is the number of minutes skin can endure sun), so SPF 15 should stay on for about 300 minutes or five hours. However, this is not exactly correct or swimming and sweating can wash off your sunscreen and you may need to reapply it after 60 to 90 minutes. To block off UVA rays, check the ingredients for avobenzone, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, Parsol 1789, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane or Mexoryl SX.

Sunscreens come in water resistant formulas that are sure to stay on for 90 minutes even if your are swimming. Lip-glosses with SPF are quite effective in preventing dried sun burned lips while liquid foundation and eye shadows are sure to wash out with first few perspiration drops. Cocoa butter is great at preventing peeling and to re-moisturizing the skin while eye drops are a great help in case some sand particles reach your eyes with the wind. Deodorants or antiperspirants, beach wear and two towels are a must of course, one to lie down on one to dry you off. You may also need a beach mat or beach blanket and be sure to wear flat and sneakers to make walking easier.

Basic Skin Care

Healthy and supple skin is not so much of a dream if you take proper precautions and pay attention to your diet and exercise. Balanced diet, hydration and protecting from sun and wind should be a part of your daily regimen. Here are the four basic steps to skin care that are mandatory and cannot be skipped on any account, if you want a naturally glowing skin. It is important that you use the products according to your skin type. You have to pay attention to the order of the steps too:

1. Cleansing The Skin
Cleansing is quite essential to avoid acnes and other skin problems. Wash your skin often using a mild face wash and wipe off with a clean washcloth. It is quite important to get rid of any impurities such as dirt particles and makeup before going to sleep so that your skin can breathe properly at night. Use mild cleanser at least twice a day but make sure that it rinses away easily, does not cause skin irritation and do not wash away natural oils too.

2. Toning The Skin
Toners not only cleanse the skin further and help in removing any remnants of particles that you may have left behind but also cools, nourishes, hydrates and freshens up your skin. It tightens up skin and close up any skin pores that may have opened up while deep cleansing the face. Toners must be alcohol-free as alcohol dries off skin.

3. Exfoliating The Skin
Exfoliants remove dead cells from the skin, rejuvenate the skin and eliminate fine lines and wrinkles from the face. The younger skin that surfaces after exfoliation naturally looks more beautiful and glowing. These products usually have alpha or beta hydroxy acids to quicken up the process but do avoid the ones that are granular as they tend to damage the new skin too that is much more sensitive than the mature layer that it digests.

4. Moisturizing The Skin
Like our body, our skin also needs hydration and proper nutrients to keep it healthy. So, treat it with a good moisturizer and a broad-spectrum sunscreen with more than SPF 15 daily and night cream daily that helps the skin to balance and restores any damage that might have occurred to it overnight.

In third trimester of pregnancy lower back pain is normal. Some women suffer from back pain during whole period of pregnancy and some feel back pain during last moths. The intensity of back pain is varying from woman to woman.

Causes of Back Pain

  • The overall weight of woman is increases because fetus is stat growing in her womb so the lower back is pulled forward in a woman’s abdomen. This uneven distribution of added weight is all most forward not over the center of woman’s pelvis.
  • It is notice that during healthy pregnancy a woman gain typically 25 to 35 weight. This added weight take support of spine which can become reason of lower back pain. More over the weight of baby and uterus pressurized the blood vessels, nerves in pelvis and back bones.
  • As the uterus of pregnant woman is become heavier and the center of gravity of a woman is change and abdominal muscles are try to keep their proper balance. She slowly without any notice start to adjust herself in a posture in which she can easily move. This may cause back pain.

  • The back pain from which woman can s u ffer from seve re near birth time.
  • When baby moves in the womb in third trimester he or she puts pressure to internal organs and nerves because it is the time when baby is growing. Woman feels back pain.
  • The women who are not active in their lifestyle suffer from more back pain as compare to those who are more active. The women who have strong lumber muscles have better ability to resistance against increased pressure during pregnancy.
  • Women who are doing the regular activities durin g pregnancy may suffer from greater tendency o f pain.

  • Body produce hormones during pregnancy that allows the joints become relax and looser that may cause symptoms like arthritis in the spine etc. To facilitate an easier birth the coccyx also changed. As normally the coccyx is immovable, but during pregnancy it is free to move. And it allows passage of the baby during birth. Sometime coccyx injury or coccyx pain is result of this anatomical change.
  • Emotional stress is one of the main reasons of back pain. Women may experience an increase in back pain during stressful periods of your pregnancy.

These are causes of back pain during pregnancy and chances are very high that during nine month of pregnancy at least one of them happens to every mother. Pregnancy is a process of pain so do not associate back pain to any structural problem. It’s just a natural phenomenon.

Basic breast anatomy

The function of breasts is to produce milk for the baby. Each breast has milk producing glands (also called lobules or alveoli) that make milk from the nutrients and water they take from the bloodstream.

The space in between the lobes is filled with connective and fatty tissue. Fat also surrounds the whole system of milk ducts and glands. Usually the breasts of young women are mainly glandular tissue and that is why their breasts are firmer. The softer the breasts are, the more fat they contain.

Note that the breast does not have any muscles (except for tiny ones in the nipples), so no amount of exercise will change their appearance. The breast is supported by semi-elastic bands of tissue called Cooper's ligaments. These ligaments (along with the skin) stretch over time when the gravity pulls the breast down, and that is why the breast will start drooping or sagging.

The breast size and shape in different women varies a lot. Some women have more glandular tissue in their breasts, some have less. Some have more fatty tissue than others. Some have more connective tissue so their breasts are firmer, and yet some women are totally flat-chested. The size and shape also varies over time in the same woman because of the changes during menstrual cycle, pregnancy, after weaning, and during menopause. Most of the size differences between women are due to the amount of fatty tissue in the breast. But practically all breasts can make milk and help nurture the baby - and that is what makes breasts beautiful!

The rare exception to this is the so-called hypoplastic or underdeveloped breast that does not have much glandular tissue (or milk-making glands). Hypoplastic breasts often are small, elongated or tubular shaped, narrow at the chest wall with wide space in between, and often have big areola.&nbps; Women with these tubular under-developed breasts may have low milk supply, but many of them can with the proper measures develop full supply and breastfeed succesfully.

MOST women's breasts are not totally symmetrical (don't judge by the models and actresses in the media since they have had theirs fixed, pushed up, padded and everything else). Usually, one breast is slightly larger or smaller, higher or lower, or shaped differently than the other. It is kind of a similar situation to men's testes: usually the left one hangs lower than the other.

The darker part surrounding the nipple is called the areola. Areolas usually grow in size and get darker during pregnancy - as if making it easier for the baby to spot the place of nourishment. The little 'bumps' on the areola are called Montgomery glands, and they produce oil that lubricates the nipple/areola complex.

The nipple has several tiny openings in it through which the milk flows during lactation. Nipples can sometimes be flat, with a 'line' through them, or inverted, where the nipple is indented inward. Neither situation is serious or dangerous since the baby can usually pull the nipple out. By the way, a teenager nipple does not necessarily protrude but it is only truly flat nipple if it does NOT get erect when stimulated or when cold.

Nipples also come in all different kinds of looks. Some women's nipples are constantly erect whereas some have nipples that only become erect when stimulated by cold or touch. It is common to have some hair on the breast. The nipple can be flat, round, or cylindrical in shape. The areola can be a very narrow ring, or may cover half of a small breast. The color varies from pink to black. Even so, these characteristics don't affect the breastfeeding process - with the exception that sometimes women with flat or inverted nipples have to use special measures to get the baby to feed. You can see pictures of nipples on our nipple gallery page, as well as links to web pages about flat/inverted nipples.

How to Increase Your Breast Size Naturally

Have you wanted bigger breasts but nothing worked? Certain birth controls can increase your cup size but herbs can as well. Here are a few to help.

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

  1. Herbs have been used for hundreds of years to increase breast size and increase milk production. Here are a few to help increase your cup size.
  2. Fenugreek, Saw Palmetto, Wild Yam, Fennel and Dong Quai. These are great for breast enlargement and unlike the pills and creams the results won't disappear or cost you a fortune.

You can grow these in your garden (organic is better and you'll see better results)or buy them from a local health store. Brew them in a tea or take them in capsule form and also buy lotions or products with them for external use.

Buy liquid herbal extract for external use; add these to your favorite lotion or cream or make your own with Shea Oil or Vitamin E oil. Herbs taken internally are broken down by the liver which means you don't get all the nutrients. If you apply them to your skin they don't have to go through the liver and more nutrients can be absorbed. Wild Yam has great result when applied externally.

    Here is why it works...
Fennel stimulates the breast enlargement effects of estrogen. Saw Palmetto stimulates Prolactin; a hormone that encourages breast enlargement and development. Wild Yam helps increase the effects of Fenugreek. If liquid extract is put into creams it is easily absorbed and will make the fat cells increase, which leads to a fuller and rounder breast. Fenugreek stimulates the production of Prolactin. It also has similar effects to estrogen. It encourages tissue growth. Dong Quai should be used only if a doctor okay's it first.

All of these herbs are used in breast enlargement capsules and creams that are on the market.

  3. You can also try Red clover and Black cohosh. Be careful not to take too much. Talk to your doctor or local heath nut to get a good dosage. This isn't an overnight fix. It will take time but it will help! You'll see noticeable change (around a cup size some say more) and you'll notice a huge improvement with the shape and firmness in your breasts.

There are also exercises you can do at home to help firm them and (some people swear)increase the size.

In this respect, certain body parts will deserve greater significance and this is none other than shape, size, texture, and firmness of female beautiful breasts.

Before we move into on how breast nutrition can help or complement women for their beautiful breasts, big breasts or sexy breasts, it is good to touch on how our natural breasts develop as it is important to note that proper breast enhancement to a certain extent depends on our knowledge of our breasts growth and development.

We have to know that a drastic change in the level, amount and order of secretion of progesterone, prolactin, prostaglandins and our human growth hormone are among the important factors that play a role in the development of female bust tissues particularly with the onset of puberty.

Following puberty the secretion of estrogen will normally enhances by 20 fold than before in which this will influence the enlargement of bustline and other associated breast development. At the same time, estrogens promote the growth process by depositing fat, develop stromal tissues, provide the necessary nutritional values as well as extend women cellular substructure to prepare them to accommodate more volume to have beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts.

Noted in particular is that the high level of progesterone and prolactin that helps in developing lobules and alveoli and maintaining their functionality and augments female bosoms. As a whole our body hormone, i.e. estrogen will initiate the natural breast enhancement process and accountable for the external attributes of a mature female bustline.

Hence, attaining a pair of beautiful breasts may not be that hard if we are concerned about proper breast nutrition for improving the appearance of this vital part of our body.

Here is the breast nutrition reference for us to have beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts, in short beautiful natural breasts.

  • Food plays an immensely important role in shaping up female bosom as well as controlling their size.
  • If we are having a large cup size then this indicates we are oversaturated with fat and adipose. Hence, it would be wise for us to cut down the level of fat intake from our daily diet. In this respect, eat more oily fish and use virgin olive oil instead of the standard cooking oils and plant fat is preferable than animal fat. However, this does not apply for underdeveloped bustline.

Last but not least is to wear a good supportive bra during pregnancy and exercise in order to avoid 'drooping' or 'sagging' breasts to our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts.

About Different Women Breast Shapes

Whether we believe or not, a huge proportion of women worldwide are not happy with their breast shapes. I believe one of the reasons is that the media images make them believe what was the ideal breast shapes which usually associated with big and perky and with a small nipple and areola.

It also seems that it is this exposure which makes the females feels so vulnerable about their normal and healthy beautiful breasts. This may cause them to believe their breasts are too big, too small, too low, are uneven or even think that the nipples are wrong and ugly.

Nevertheless and in reality female breasts come in all kinds of sizes and shapes and are depended upon genetic factors, regionalism, diet, climate and several other factors. In short as faces of people are different, so are women beautiful breasts. In fact, having asymmetrical breasts, where one is bigger than the other, or one breast slightly larger than the other are all very common among modern women.

For some women, they consider having beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts are important as they believe that breasts are the most anxiety-provoking area of the body and this could partly due to their prominent position or image that they need to project to the public at large, therefore what we think not important may not be so to the others. However, we should not worry and fret over our breast development to the point of committing suicide!

What follows are several variations of common women breast shapes:

Perfect Breast Shapes - The perfect breast shapes is quite a rarity. In reality and in medicine and esthetics, this is the one in which the nipple points outwards, parallel to the ground. There should be no sag and the breast should be supple and well-toned.

Swooping Breasts - A shape in which the breast slightly bends inwards above the areola. There is no sag however. Due to the bending of the breast, the nipple points upwards, inclined to the vertical. Some women breasts take this shape because of lack of volume.

Saggy or Ptotic breasts - Saggy breasts are commonly found in women due to advance in age. Usually the breasts droop downwards and causing the nipple to be pointed downwards. Saggy breasts may have more or little volume, depending on the amount of fat tissues in them. The word ptosis means drooping in this case.

Small Breasts - Small beautiful breasts are breasts that have very little volume of fatty tissue and with small nipples and areolas as well. There is very little substance between the nipples and the pectoral muscles for this type of breast shapes.

Tubular or Constricted Breasts - These are actually a kind of defective or anomaly breast shape due to hernia in the breast tissue. They are visible as tubular or narrow cylindrical in shape, with very small nipples and areolas and the two breasts may be far apart. The base of the breast usually isn't wide enough and is small and the nipple and areola complex may be overly prominent since the breast tissue has been herniated or squeezed into the tip.

Augmented Breasts – A kind of severe condition of tubular breasts and are visible anomalies in the shape of women breasts.

Pectus carinatum or Pigeon Breasts - These are severely deformed breasts which lie almost flat on the chest and do not look like breasts at all. The ribs and sometimes the breastbone (sternum) protrude forward and are caused due to a congenital defect.

The main point to remember here is that there is enormous variation in what is considered to be normal breasts, beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts.

How to Firm Breast

To answer this question, it is good to look at what actually made up our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts. Despite the complexity of its build up, a woman breasts is actually quite straight forward, i.e. made up of three basic components:

Fat - The amount and distribution of fat will determine the overall size and shape of our beautiful breasts.

Glands or Lobules - These are responsible for producing milk. These milk glands will expand and shrink in response to the hormonal changes that accompany the different stages of the menstrual cycle and pregnancy. After the pregnancy and menopause, and as we continues to age, these glands will shrink and our beautiful breasts will become mostly fat tissue in its composition, this can result in further looseness of our breast skin.

Connective Tissue - Our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts are actually supported by ligaments (we may think of it as kind of connective tissue) and skin. Since women beautiful breasts will expand and then shrink during pregnancy and with aging, the skin and ligaments will soon stretched out thus caused sagging breasts.

Usually, our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts will lose their perk with age. What should be noted is that extremely large breasts women will be affected much earlier, this can be attributed to the direct impact of gravity; hence women with larger bosoms droop faster than smaller ones due to their heavy weight.

Generally, those who have a large amount of breast tissue will have large breasts compared to those who are not. In fact our breast appearance is influenced by factors such as the volume of our breast tissue and fat, our age (a reason why older women have sagging breasts), our history of previous pregnancies and lactation, heredity, the quality and elasticity of our beautiful breasts skin, the influence of hormones (the three that have an impact on women beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breast are estrogen, progesterone and prolactin) or hormonal disorders, others that may include weight loss, the ratio of those lightweight fat to heavier glands, medications and so on.

Now back to “Is Breast Exercise Good for Sagging Breasts?

Well from what made up our natural breasts, we can say that women beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts contain no muscles but only fat cells, milk-ducts and glands that are held together in a web of soft connective tissue. And in this case, it is sad to say that, breast exercise or by exercising we can not increase our bust size, neither will breast exercise reduce a heavy bust nor exert the breast firming effect for women’s sagging breasts.

However, beneath our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts there have a large muscle, i.e. the pectoralis major for our beautiful breasts to rest on. It is believed that toning and exercising these pectoral muscles, that is to get the muscle under the breast to grow bigger and stronger, the breast tissues will follow suit to become stronger and suppler too, eventually this will have an effect on the overall appearance of our chest. With this, it causes our beautiful breasts / natural breasts appear bigger and firmer, though the difference may not be incredible but certainly noticeable. An example of breast exercises that is of great help is playing softball. Therefore, it is said to be possible to push our beautiful breasts out a little by building up our pectoral muscles, though some said this is just an illusion since our natural breasts will not get bigger in this sense.

The breast exercises which are believed to be useful in achieving a pair of firm and attractive bustline are as follows:

  • Pec Press - We will need 3 to 5 pound weights in each of our hands. Lie down on our back with knees bent, stretch our arms on both sides, and then slowly bring them together. Stay for 1 second and then release them back to their previous position. For better results it is good to do this thrice for 10 times every alternate day.
  • Butterfly Press - Sit on the edge of a chair with 3 to 5 pound weights in each hand. Straighten our back and arms on both sides and raise them up till they reach shoulder level. Hold at this position for a while and then release them back to their starting position. Repeat this thrice for 5 times every alternate day.
  • Pectoral Push-Ups: Lie on our chest and lift our body up just likes in a conventional push ups. What is difference is that our forearms and elbows must rest on ground. Hold on this position for 30 seconds. Repeat this for 5 times.
  • Dwikonasana, a form of yoga exercise - Stand straight with your feet shoulder apart. Extend your arms behind your back and interlock your fingers. This is the starting position. Bend forward from the hips, and at the same time, raise your arms behind your back as high as possible, without straining. Use your arms to accentuate the stretch to the shoulders and chest. Look forward with your face parallel to the floor. Hold for 30 seconds before returning to the upright position and relaxing your arms. Repeat 3 to 5 times.

Another easy to perform breast firming exercise is called hydrotherapy. For better results, It is suggested to be followed with some natural breasts care products. Here are the steps for reference:

  • Step I: Simply rinse our beautiful natural breasts with warm water for about half a minute
  • Step II: Switch to the coldest water we can stand for about 10 seconds, and
  • Step III: Continue alternating between warm and cold water for a couple of minutes

Besides, it is good to know that:

Gravity will cause our skin and breast ligaments to gradually stretch over time; this is an unavoidable factor that causes sagging breasts. However, we can help to delay or make our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts look good than if when no efforts were taken.

If you are a young woman with sagging breasts, do pay attention on the following:

  • You may not getting enough support from your bra or perhaps you are not wearing a bra at all. This is most obvious for large breasts women or women who are participating in sports without the proper sports bra. It is known that a habit of wearing a wrong bra that is too loose, too tight or having a wrong cup size, might damage the shape and look of our bustline.

To know more about the relationships of Women Bras and proper bra fitting our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts, please read here.
  • Change in breast size after pregnancy. During this period, a woman's breasts will become larger and engorged with milk in preparation for breastfeeding, however, once the breastfeeding period is over, our beautiful breasts may not snap back to its original state.
  • Aspect of ligament: It is good to know that the structure and elasticity of ligaments and skin in our chest region varies among women. This is attributed to our gene as well as our diet; hence some women will experience sagginess earlier and quicker than others.

Breasts Massage. This is considered by many as a very risk-free and effective method for improving our bustline. In fact, regular massage will help in draining out toxic wastes as well as improving blood circulation throughout our beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts. Last but not least, we may want to think about:

  • Is it enough to just find women bras with proper bra fitting that gives our sweaters that ripe melons look?
  • Should we exercise to firm other areas of our body such as our abs or glutes for us to feel better about our body as a whole? Or
  • Is it worth to have perceived beautiful breasts, big breasts and sexy breasts through surgical procedure such as Mammaplasty with the risks and costs associated with it?
