Quick Tricks to Enhance Your Eyes

Playing with eye makeup is one of the most fun pastimes for any gal. Of course wearing the same traditional looks can get boring. The good news is that there are tons of ways to switch up eye makeup looks and learning just a handful can help break up the routine. Aside from giving you a new look to show off when you go out, these eye makeup tricks are also quick and easy to do right at home.

Are you guilty of sticking to one eye shadow color on your lids? You can easily go from bland to glam by making one simple change: instead of using one eye shadow color, use two different shades. However, it is best to keep them within the same color family for ideal results. Not only does it look cool, it adds dimension to your eyes. For example, pair a darker shade of purple eye shadow along your lids with a lighter shade swept across the crease.

Want to make your eyes pop and appear brighter, but are tired of turning to you
r white eye liner? Next time reach for blue eye liner instead. Yes, you read right: blue eye liner. This color is all the rage for its ability to make the eyes appear naturally brighter because of its cool tone. Depending on your eye color, you may want to consult with a makeup artist to find the right shade of blue liner.

Make eye shadow really work for you by purchasing color palettes that use shades meant to enhance the natural color of your eyes. Even if the color choice doesn’t make sense to you, trust in the fact that professionals in the makeup industry made those choices for a reason. Brown-eyed gals will want to get a color palette consisting of golds and pinks, while green-eyed beauties will want to opt for sandy, warm shades. The purple family of colors is especially great for those with blue eyes.

Sometimes all you need to liven up your eyes is highlighter. Not just for finishing off a smokey eye or other involved look, adding a touch of highlighter to the contour of the brow bone and the inner corners of the eyes are the perfect way to subtly draw attention to your peepers without going overboard.

Who says you always have to keep your eye shadow color on your eyelids? Change things up and have fun by adding eye shadow in a warm tone to your lower lash line. Not only does this bring amazing attention to your eyes, it creates contour and works for any eye shape. Although many models in photoshoots are known for sporting this look, the everyday woman has long since successfully adopted and owned this makeup trick.

Always wanted to get that doe-eyed look? Now you can by making sure to apply your eye shadow color a bit more to the middle of your eyelid. Follow up by using eye liner to create a thicker line at the top lash in the middle and gradually thin it out as you get to the outer corner.

Raising Awareness about Cataract Surgeries

Florence Henderson has taken the responsibility with the help of Bausch and Lomb to encourage more Americans to do something about their vision problems which has most likely been caused by a cataract development.
Like many bodily ailments, a cataract develops usually not through any fault of your own but is generally a part of the ageing process, this is a problem that a major number of senior citizens face when their natural eye lens gets clouded which obviously blurs and distorts their vision, the vision would be a lot like if thick greasy oil were spilled all over a camera lens and if you were to then look through it.

Cataracts therefore cause most of vision problems in the country, yet senior citizens and others as well do nothing about it in fear of surgery.

But the truth is that a cataract surgical procedure is practically harmless and is not even risky and even though it is a surgery, it is pretty much a standard procedure which will not even take fifteen minutes to be completed.

Florence Henderson is encouraging Americans about the surgery ever since she herself underwent one after her doctor’s discovered her need for it.

She therefore believes now that everybody should consult their doctor as regularly as possible through eye checkups and should look for treatments to deal with their vision problems, and if they have been recommended cataract surgery then no hesitation is required as it is a simple procedure that reaps great results and does away with almost all kinds of vision problems that you might have. In fact after the surgery you will find that your need for glasses itself has reduced greatly.

t would take about eight weeks for a person to completely heal and recover from the surgery, although you can continue to live your normal life as it is- you will of course be limited to sleep more and give your eyes as much rest as possible, and keeping away from direct sunlight and glares is something you will have to be careful about for a few weeks as well.
